Uetliberg and Felsenegg Trekking. Uetliberg is a mountain in the Swiss Plateau, part of the Albis chain, rising to 870 m. The Albis chain is a separate, lower range located between Zurich and the Alps.
That said, from the top, visitors are treated to a magnificent panoramic view of the city, the lake, and the Alps — so on a clear day you can see the Alps from there.
The Uetliberg–Felsenegg Planet Trail is a popular walk connecting the two summits. Though the trek could be completed in 2hours we took 4 hours as we spent time enjoying the nature. Felsenegg is the endpoint of that ridge hike, where a cable car takes you down to Adliswil. The start of the trek was a bit high rise steps, it was an easy walk up till Felsenegg cable car station. As the cable car was under yearly maintenance till 18th April 2026, we had to trek down hill for another 30 min. The steps were unusually high in certain places. Overall we trekked for 5 hours with one break at a lovely restaurant were we enjoyed Carrot soup with bread and an oats desert….
